WoodGrain Bees is a small, family-run beekeeping operation based in Waikino. Our hives sit on the edge of both the Kaimai Ranges and the Coromandel Forest Park, where our bees forage among native bush and farmland.

We provide pollination services across the Bay of Plenty, working with growers and landowners to support healthy crops and strong yields. We also sell local honey, harvested straight from our own hives and bottled in reusable glass jars.

Shop our honey or get in touch about pollination – we’d love to hear from you.

What makes our honey special?

Our honey comes straight from hives tucked between native bush and open farmland in Waikino. It’s 100% pure honey and packed with the flavour of the land our bees forage.

We harvest in small batches, only taking the excess and always leaving plenty on the hives for winter. We also bottle into reusable glass jars.

Orchard Pollination

Woodgrain Bees provides pollination services for kiwifruit and avocado orchards across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato.

We believe effective pollination is more than just placing hives – it’s about actively supporting both our bees and your orchard. Our hands-on approach means we regularly check on each site, making sure our bees stay strong, healthy, and productive throughout their stay.

We work closely with orchard owners and managers to ensure our hives are placed for maximum impact, giving your crops the best possible chance. We’re proud to offer a reliable, friendly service with dependable results.
